BITTERLEY is again gearing up to hold its bi-annual Summer Fete on Saturday and there are lots of treats and activities in store The fete features a Falconry display from Hawkeye, dog agility display kindly provided by Roger and Julie Brown, blacksmiths display, ferret racing, pony rides, family games, children’s races and exhibition and stands from local organisations.
It will also include a photograph competition, following the success of the Time Team photog raphic competition, when they visited Bitterley in 2011.
This year, visitors are asked to take a picture of Bitterley church or Middleton Church, and the winning photograph will be used in publicity in aid of the churches.
The fete will have a barbecue, beer tent, tea and cakes.
“We are really looking forward to hosting the Summer Fete, which is an opportunity for local people to enjoy a Saturday afternoon hopefully in the sun, have fun and meet other people,”
said Katherine Wheeler of Bitterley Court.
All the proceeds from will go towards Bitterley and Middleton Churches.
