STUDENTS at Ludlow College have been praised for their artistic abilities.
The college's top arts students were honoured in an awards evening focussing on photography, art, and graphics.
Georgina Salmon from Tenbury won the college's award for outstanding achievement in fine art.
The 18-year-old artist is off to university in Cheltenham to study fine art and hopes to become a professional artist.
"I have produced things that I did not think I would or even try," said Georgina.
"Throughout we were encouraged to use lots of different mediums which made me realise which I preferred."
Other prize winners were: Chess Romeo (graphics), Anna Ziko (photography), Emma Turner (most improved work), and Katie Upton-Roddy (determination to achieve).
Another award-winning student was Jamie-Ash Townsend who, depending on his exam results, will be off to the Academy of Live and Recording Arts (ALRA) in London.
The college is so keen on having Jamie attend that he has been offered a Dada award which means his tuition fees will be paid.
Jamie, who was born in Ludlow and now lives in Leominster, picked up one of the college's Media Oscars for cinematography.
He has also taken part in the college's productions of 'We Will Rock You' and 'Cabaret'.
Jamie said the main appeal of character acting was involving himself with a completely different person.
Carl Morris, head of Ludlow College which has the largest darkroom in the county used for educational purposes, said: "I think it is wonderful what the students have done. Most of our students are progressing to university or careers in their field."
