POLICE have warned people in Ludlow and south Shropshire and Tenbury and the Teme Valley of the risk the arrival of warm weather presents to dogs.
West Mercia Police are warning people that dogs must not be left in cars even with the window open when the weather is warm.
A car is like an oven in the heat and any dog left inside for anytime is likely to die.
People seeing dog in distress in a car are urged to call 999 or 101.
