One of the previous pictures struck a chord with reader Phyllis Maiden, who attended the school from 1955-1958.

"It was a truly wonderful school, warm and cosy and Mrs Jones was a wonderful lady," said Phyllis.

"In 1978 I contacted her and we remained friends until her death about 15 years ago.

"Grenville Postans is in fact Granville Postans and he lives in Mistletoe Row in Tenbury. There was also a girl called Jean Haycock or Jean Haycox. I also remember a boy called Horace who lived up towards Knowle.

"Maybe they joined later. Sadly I know Ann Bowkley and Lilian Postans are deceased.

"I live in Lincolnshire where I am a writer and shorthand teacher. At one time I did try to arrange a reunion but to no avail."
