There will be an evening of live accordion music at Chapel Lawn Village Hall as top Scottish musician Sandy Brechin plays in aid of Rosheart Kingdom Rehabilitation Centre for Horses and Dogs in Bucknell.

Scots born Shropshire based internationally recognized equine and canine Shiatsu therapist Jacqueline Cook-Molony has organised the event to raise funds for her work with young horses.

Why a live accordion act? “I play the accordion," explains Jacqueline, "and Sandy loves and rides horses himself, so he was very interested in supporting the venture.

"He came down last year did a gig which was a huge success and was delighted to be asked back."

Sandy is best known for his lightning fast playing, hilarious on-stage humour, together with his own unique approach to the art of Scottish accordion playing. His style is instantly recognisable: a melody hand and a revolutionary method of syncopation on the bass.

Accordionist extraordinaire Sandy Brechin from Edinburgh will be playing at Chapel Lawn Village Hall on Saturday, July 22, from 7.30pm. There will also be an accordion workshop with Sandy from 5-6pm. To book, call 01547 530871, text 07721 739973 or visit www.shiatsu-for-people-horses-dogs.com
