by Ian Morris lanews@midlands.newsquest.co.uk VOLKSWAGEN enthusiasts have organised a show near Ludlow to raise money for Megan Baker House.

Gavin Butler, one of the event organisers, said the group is expecting VW vehicles from all over the country to turn up at the May Bank Holiday weekend show at Woofferton Grange Farm in Brimfield.

“We are anticipating at least 250 cars and possibly more,” he said. “It is a fun weekend where people can bring their classic cars like the Beetle and camper van and it will be very much a retro 60s and 70s event where everyone can enjoy a relaxing weekend.”

The show will include a vehicle treasure hunt, fully licensed bar, graffiti display and local live bands, including Druids Brew.

There will be a firework display on the Saturday.

All profits from the show will go to the Leominster-based charity Megan Baker House, which offers free conductive education and helps children and adults with cerebral palsy and Parkin-son’s disease and those who have suffered a stroke, brain damage or head injury.

Gates will be open from 4.30pm to 8pm on Friday, May 1, from 8am to 8pm on the Saturday and from 8am to 4.30pm on the Sunday.

Admission will be £7.50 per person all weekend or £5 per person per day with under 12s free.

Entry includes camping for the weekend.
