COOKERY demonstrations by top chefs and experts are a major feature of the Ludlow Food Festival.
The Festival that returns after a year off because of Covid-19 has an extensive programme of demonstrations.
Friday, September 10
11.30: Marcus Bean – Chef/Owner, Brompton Cookery School, Shrewsbury
12.30: Mike Warner – Food Writer/Fisheries Journalist, Suffolk
1.30: Claire Thomson – Chef/Food Writer, Bristol (followed by book signing of ‘Home Cookery Year’)
2.30: Andy Link- Chef/Patron, Riverside Inn, Aymestrey Herefordshire & Slow Food Restaurant of the Year
3.30: Mike Bullard – Chef/Director, Butchers Social at Forest Hotel, Dorridge, Solihull.
Saturday, September 11
11.30: Mark Harris – Chef/Manager, Pheasant Inn, Neenton, Shropshire
12.30: Andrew Tabberner Chef/co owner, Gaerwan Arms, Anglesey
1.30: Stuart Collins – Chef/Patron, Docket 33, Whitchurch & Great British Menu
2.30: Olivia Burt – Head Chef, Stanleys of Chelsea & Masterchef Professionals Finalist
3.30: Sarit Packer & Itamar Srulovich: Chef/Owners, Honey & Co, London (followed by book signing of ‘Chasing Smoke’).
Sunday, September 12
11.30: Roberta D’Elia – Head Chef, Pasta Evangelists, London (followed by book signing of ‘Perfect Pasta at Home’).
12.30: Howard Middleton: Baker/Food Writer, Sheffield, Yorkshire (followed by book signing of ‘Delicious Gluten Free Baking’)
1.30: Elizabeth Haigh: Chef/Patron, The Modern Chef, London (followed by book signing of ‘Makan’)
2.30: Mark & Sue Stinchcombe:
Mark. Head Chef, Severn & Wye Smokery, Gloucestershire & Masterchef Professionals Winner.
Sue: Development Chef, Berry’s (formerly Just Rachel Ice Cream) Herefordshire & Great British Menu.
3.30: Reuben Crouch: Chef/co Owner, CSONS Ludlow & Shrewsbury.
The Food Festival is the biggest event of the year in Ludlow and can bring up to. 20,000 people into the town.
People are warned that Ludlow is likely to be busy over all three days and parking will be at a premium
