A LUDLOW GP surgery has added to its team as the number of patients increases.

Station Drive Surgery has revealed that its teams of Healthcare Assistants, Nurses and Doctors have each been increased with a new member of staff.

The duties of the healthcare assistants range from blood tests and ECGs to dressings and health checks.

They have been joined by Linda McMahon, who is a very experienced health care assistant with many years of experience, and has most recently been working with the district nurses.

Gemma Austin has joined senior nursing staff as the practice’s new deputy lead nurse, supporting lead nurse Tonia Meyrick.

She has 17 years’ experience of working for the NHS and has worked at the local hospital, has been a triage nurse in Australia, and most recently has been a Practice Nurse for several years.

Finally, Dr Mary Eardley will be joining the team of GPs!

Dr Mary Eardley is an experienced GP with an interest in women’s health and contraception.

She is looking forward to joining the clinical team and will be available on Mondays and Thursdays from September 13. Dr Eardley’s husband, Dr Kevin Eardley, runs Ludlow Hospital’s Dialysis Unit.
