LUDLOW Castle is appearing a lot on social media.

A survey by the travel website Trip Adviser says that the historic castle just misses out on a top 50 spot in the ‘most Instergrammed.’

With hundreds of stunning castles, 653 according to Trip Advisor to be exact, dominating the landscape of the UK, Ludlow Castle comes in at a very credible 53rd spot.

The Castle that had a key role because of its location on the Welsh border, was for a time home to Prince Arthur, the older brother of Henry VIII and his wife Katherine of Aragon, who went on to marry Henry after Arthur’s death.

Edinburgh Castle came out top in the survey followed by Windsor.
