PEOPLE in Tenbury have had an opportunity to have a look at the proposed flood defence scheme for the town.
Two public consultation events have been held at the Community Centre at the Regal Cinema.
It is the first time that it has been possible to give people a chance to look at the scheme and discuss it with officials from the Environment Agency.
Up until now the consultation has had to be remote because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The scheme will go for planning approval from Malvern Hills District Council in the New Year ahead of work starting at some stage in 2022.
It had been hoped that the scheme would already have received planning approval but there has been some delay whilst further investigations were undertaken by engineers.
The scheme will involve building flood walls and banks to protect the town from flooding in the future.
