LUDLOW MP Philip Dunne believes that the economy is bouncing back from the hit is has taken as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and he hopes this will continue.
Philip Dunne MP has welcomed new figures from the independent Office for National Statistics showing the UK economy grew by 7.5 per cent last year.
The new statistics, show impressive economic growth as the UK bounced back from Covid.
“While the UK was clearly hit hard by Covid, the remarkable success of the vaccination programme and the £400bn package of support from government put in place set the right conditions for a strong economic recovery,” said Mr Dunne.
“With almost all covid restrictions now removed, I hope we will see sustained growth this year, providing jobs and security to more people in south Shropshire.”
