PEOPLE living in Ludlow and south Shropshire will be spectators when much of the rest of the country go to the polls next month.
Local elections are due to take place across England on May 5, but not in the Shropshire Council area.
The elections for Shropshire Council and for the county’s town and parish councils were held in May 2021, and are not due to be held again until May 2025.
Ad-hoc by-elections can be, and are, held throughout the year, and further information about current vacancies can be found on the Shropshire Council website.
Local elections are planned to take place on Thursday, May 5 in many areas of the country including the larger metropolitan areas like London and Birmingham.
Voting takes place some unitary areas but not Shropshire.
A year ago all the Ludlow wards were retained by the sitting Liberal Democrat councillors, Andy Boddington, Vivienne Parry and Tracey Huffer, who husband also retained Clee for the Liberal Democrats.
