ONE issue that it is hoped will move from the pending tray to the ‘in-tray’ with Ludlow Town Council is what is going to happen to the town walls.
It is now a decade since a section of the walls, adjacent to St Laurence Church collapsed.
This resulted in the short term evacuation of some people from their homes, until engineers determined it was safe to return.
There followed a debate as to who was responsible for the walls with Ludlow Town Council finally taking the lead.
A number of investigations have been undertaken to determine what needs doing but a start has yet to be made on repairs.
The high cost is an issue with funding the project that will need grants to make it possible.
