LUDLOW Library is the base for Shropshire Council’s libraries service initiative to promote new books to support adult literacy and help people who are learning to speak English.
Books in the new Adult Reading Scheme Collection are graded, and the levels range from very basic to short novels and non-fiction, books for those with very limited literacy or who speak very little English, and titles for people with moderate literacy or dyslexia.
Iran Morris, is branch manager at Ludlow Library, where the new collection is based.
“We’re pleased to say that the books in this collection are not only free to borrow by anyone with a Shropshire Libraries card, but are also free to reserve for delivery to the most convenient library pick-up point,” said Mr Morris.
