TENBURY Applefest Association held its Annual General Meeting at the Fountain Inn, Oldwood.

The existing committee were elected unopposed : Chair - Anton Schoolies, Vice Chair - Elizabeth Allen, Treasurer - Tony Gould, Secretary - David Downward, committee member - Jane Barnes.

In his report Anton Schooley paid tribute to the founders of Applefest and the hard work of many people over the years.

The 2022 event saw a near record breaking attendance of more than 1,400. The event was very friendly and well received by all exhibitors, performers, contributors and the public as well as the local shopkeepers. He thanked the committee and the many volunteers and people of Tenbury and all the supporters of the Tenbury Applefest.

The event which starts the autumn programmes of festivals, will this year will be on Saturday, October 7.

It takes place on the Burgage in Tenbury with displays and activities including a display of many different apple types and the chance for people to turn apples into juice as well as purchasing from the many stall holders.
