AN UNLICENSED and uninsured driver will be sentenced next month after driving without due care and attention and failing to stop in a Shropshire lane.
Spencer Cornes entered guilty pleas to one count of driving without due care and attention, one of driving without a licence, one of driving without insurance, and one of failing to stop after a road accident when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester in April.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 19-year-old had driven a Renault Clio without due care and attention on a country lane between Albury and Broome, Craven Arms, on October 21.

He had been involved in an accident in which another car was damaged in that road, the court heard, but had failed to stop.
Cornes had been driving without a licence authorising him to drive a vehicle of that class and without a valid third party insurance policy in place, the court heard.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service.
Cornes, of Coronation Road, Craven Arms, will appear before magistrates in Telford for sentencing on May 3.
