A CELEBRATION of the coronation of King Charles will take place in a splendid regal venue.
On June 4, the Marches Choir of Bishops Castle and friends will present ‘Coronation Rejoicing!’ in the Regency-style ballroom at Walcot Hall, Lydbury North.
The concert, with accompaniment from a small chamber orchestra, will feature a variety of celebratory and high-spirited music, including a selection of Handel's Coronation Anthems, from Zadok the Priest, with its famous musical setting of 'long live the King', to the uplifting anthem The King Shall Rejoice.
