The play covers the story from the vicar's arrival in the village and first parish council meeting to the finale of the wedding of her verger, Alice Tinker, to Hugo Horton, the son of the chairman of the parish council.

Artistic director Jack Ludwig said: "Following a sell-out run in January at St Mary's Church in Tenbury Wells I am really excited the cast will be performing the play again under the direction of Bev Jenkins.

"The audience fell in love with all the characters with some saying it was like watching them on the screen again.

"The play really is hilarious and promises to be fun night out, this time in a theatre setting'.

The Vicar of Dibley will run from Thursday, June 8, to Saturday, June 10 at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Tickets for children aged 10 and over are priced at £12 while adult tickets are priced at £16.
