SHROPSHIRE could be hit by heavy thunderstorms this Saturday (June 10).
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from 2pm to 10pm, with the area affected stretching from the north west of England to the south east.
The agency says that, whilst many places will be largely dry, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail are likely to develop in some places on Saturday afternoon.

With this in mind, there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds. Spray and sudden flooding could also lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, while there is a chance of delays or even cancellations to rail services where flooding or lightning strikes occur.
Temperatures are set to soar from tomorrow (Friday) with the mercury possibly hitting 25C in Ludlow on Saturday.
