A South Shropshire accommodation business is delighted to have scooped bronze at the prestigious Visit England Awards for Excellence.
Eaton Manor Country Estate, a collection of eight luxury holiday cottages based near Church Stretton, picked up the award in the self-catering accommodation of the year category, placing them third in the country. They were also the only business in Shropshire to take an award across all 20 categories.
The national award follows the gold they took in the regional West Midlands Tourism Awards earlier in the year.
“To win such an esteemed national award is a huge achievement for all the team here at Eaton Manor," said owner Nichola Cariss, who has been running the business with her family since 2001. "It places us third in England for self catering accommodation and recognises that we offer a unique venue focussing on luxury holiday cottages with first class customer service and ensuring our guests’ stays and celebrations a truly special and memorable. As a family, we are so proud that our collaboration with local people and businesses is the driving force behind our success.”
The estate has been in the Madeley family for nearly 90 years, with the fifth generation now growing up there. Each generation has taking great pride in developing the business with different types of farming, diversifying to holiday accommodation in 2001.
