A SHROPSHIRE man has been jailed after breaking his restraining order to visit a home in Bishop's Castle.
Aaron Rocke entered a guilty plea to one count of harassment by breach of a restraining order when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster in July.
The court heard from prosecutor Daniel Tonks that the 25-year-old, who was represented at the hearing by defence solicitor Mr Wade, had been made subject to a restraining order by magistrates in Telford on March 1.
But he had, without reasonable excuse, attended an address in Bishop's Castle and attempted to contact a woman he was prohibited from contacting by the order on July 3, magistrates were told.
Magistrates said the offence was so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified, as Rocke has a flagrant disregard for court orders, and as the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence.
Rocke, of Spring Gardens, Shrewsbury, was jailed for eight weeks. No order was made for prosecution costs to be paid.
