A DRUNKEN man has been up before the magistrates for his behaviour in a Ludlow street.
Leon Preece entered a guilty plea to one count of being drunk and disorderly in a public place when he appeared before magistrates in Telford in July.
The court heard from prosecutor Kate Price that the 38-year-old defendant, who represented himself in court, had been drunk and disorderly in Ludlow's Sandpits Road on June 20.
Preece, of Morgan Close, Ludlow, was fined £666 for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when deciding on the penalty.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £238 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
