Bishop’s Castle is counting down to Party in the Park 2023 this coming Saturday, July 22.

Bishop’s Castle youth open mic bands open at midday with North, teen singer Lilith Pearson and teenage duo Modified Youth.

A host of other artists will be performing, including Break the Record, Shropshire singer-songwriters Amy Pugh and Meg Chandler, while Without Warning, Nuclear Weasels, Fight the Bear and the Wayne Martin Band are all Bishop’s Castle bands made good, playing up and down the country and with many festivals under their belts.

Headlining are the formidable locals BC All Skas with their original groovy ska, dub reggae and Latino vibes.

Crafts, jewellery, children’s activities, food, drink and bar marquees and stalls make up the rest of the festival day.

Tickets are £12 for adults and £6 for eight to 12-year-olds, while children aged seven and under are free. A family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) is £30. Advance tickets are available from the Happy Bap or Six Bells in Bishop’s Castle or The Stables in Craven Arms, or on the gate for the same price.

Starting at midday, Party in the Park takes place at Bishop’s Castle Playing Fields, SY9 5AU.
