ROCK ‘n' roll performer Marty Wilde will be taking to the stage at the Regal in Tenbury Wells next month, as he celebrates eight decades as a hit recording artist and songwriter.
Wilde will be playing at the theatre, based in Teme Street, on September 16 at 7.30pm with his band the Wildcats, taking the audience back to the rock ‘n’ roll music era.
Hailed as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer, Wilde is known for tracks including Teenager in Love, Endless Sleep, Sea of Love and Bad Boy.

Wilde was previously awarded an MBE for services to music and in 2019 he made a return to British charts with his top ten hits CD, Dreamboats & Petticoats presents The Very Best of Marty Wilde.
The following year, he released new material in his Running Together project along with his first Christmas single recorded with his daughters Kim and Roxanne Wilde.
The Regal, where Wilde will be playing, is a theatre in Tenbury Wells set in an art deco building that started its life as a cinema in 1937. Today it hosts a varied programme of live comedy, music and drama alongside regular movie and arts screenings and an annual pantomime.
