A MAN is seriously injured after a crash between a motorbike and a lorry on a main road near Ludlow.
The incident, at the junction of the A49 and A489 at around 5.30am, saw the road closed in both directions between Wistanstow and Gates Lane in Felhampton.
The ambulance service said it was called to the scene at 5.42am.
One ambulance and a paramedic attended and found the motorcyclist with serious injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 5.42am to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a HGV at the junction of the A489 and the A49. One paramedic officer and one ambulance attended the scene.

"We found a man who was the motorcyclist. He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries.
"He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene and was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.
West Mercia Police urged drivers to avoid the area.
The road was reopen before 9am, with police taking to social media to thank drivers for their patience while they resolved the issue.
