A RESTORED puyb has opened in Ludlow.Â
Â
Located in the centre of town, the George offers locals a wide range of drinks including cocktails, wines, ales and draught lagers. They will also be serving up breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner options from their Mediterranean-inspired menu.
A total of 150 invited guests were present at the opening ceremony, including Revd Wayne Davies of St Laurence’s Church who pulled the first pint of Ludlow Gold.
The official ribbon-cutting was carried out by the town’s Mayoress, nine-year-old Gabriella Ginger, watched over by her father, Cllr Glenn Ginger, the Mayor of Ludlow.
Cllr Ginger said: "We are pleased to support the grand opening of The George in Ludlow.
"This new venture from the Oakman Group brings investment to our town and demonstrates their commitment to our community as they prioritise employing Ludlow residents and sourcing local food and drink wherever possible.
"We are confident that The George will become a valuable addition to Ludlow's vibrant town centre, enhancing its charm as a traditional market town.”
