A SHAKESPEARE production in Leintwardine has been a success.
A total of 150 people from as far afield as Aberystwyth and Hexham turned up to watch a performance of the Comedy of Errors at Leintwardine Community Centre's jubilee gardens.
The audience brought picnics and enjoyed strawberries and cream thanks to Moorcourt Fruit of Lyonshall, as well as prizes including an enormous hamper from Ludlow Farm Shop and meals at renowned eateries The Lion at Leintwardine and The Clive, Ludlow.
The play raised over £1,600 for the community centre, helping fund services such as their ‘warm space’ activities.
“Warm Spaces is about providing, literally, a warm place for people to come, relax in good company, have a hot bite to eat and enjoy activities from jigsaws to winter walks and Zumba," said Kim Smith, Secretary of Leintwardine Community Centre.
"It’s especially important for the vulnerable, elderly or isolated in the community."
