AN opera star who has sung in major roles will be appearing at Ludlow Assembly Rooms for the second time to recreate the work of the comic duo, Flanders and Swann.
Kim Begley will feature alongside David Gaukroger, who is also no stranger to concert halls in the UK and abroad.
The pair had a triumphant debut in a packed Assembly Rooms last year and return with some of the same songs plus others from the Flanders & Swann collection.
Ms Begley has starred at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden as a principal tenor, and sang over 30 roles in six seasons.
In the same vein, Mr Gaukroger has written an additional song to the three he wrote for the original show.
He has previously appeared as pianist and harpsichord with CBSO, BBC Welsh, Scottish Baroque Ensemble and English Symphony Orchestra, as well as having solo recitals in the UK, Far East and South America.
Other accolades include writing England's first National Diploma in Rock, Jazz and Recording Studies, with Led Zepellin's Robert Plant as musician in Residence.
A review in Opera Magazine said: "Not only is he blessed with a strong, expressive voice, he was also able to switch from delightful comedy to deadly gravity in an instant. It was an enticing character study."
The event takes place at Ludlow Assembly Rooms at 7.30pm on September 29.
Tickets cost £16 or £31 which includes a two-course meal at Bill's Kitchen.
