MOBILE networks are being improved in Ludlow to boost speed and performance of 4G and 5G coverage - but this could affect TV signal.

Cable and satellite TV like Sky and Virgin are not affected, but if you view TV using an aerial, you may experience issues while the works take place.

Residents living in areas that already get weak digital television reception, have a TV signal booster or have a TV aerial close to a mobile mast are the most likely to be affected.

Free support will be available to resolve potential TV interference caused by the upgrading of mobile signals, with further help on offer for people who are over 75, registered blind or partially sighted, and recipients of some types of benefits.

Ben Roome, CEO of Restore TV, who are providing the support, said: "We know just how important TV is to inform and entertain.

"If you see new TV interference, we're on hand to help resolve the issue. We can send a Restore TV filter, free of charge, for you to fit and allow you to watch as normal. Full instructions are provided, and we can provide further advice online and by phone if needed.

"In most instances, fitting the filter will resolve any issues, but if this isn't the case, we also arrange a follow-up visit from a Restore TV engineer at no cost, depending on eligibility."

For residents in flats or communal buildings, Restore TV will provide the landlord or property manager with support to resolve the problem.
