AN elderly mab was seriously hurt after being involved in a crash near Bishop's Castle.
The 74-year-old was riding a motorbike that was in a collision with a car on the A488 near Lydham shortly after 2.45pm last Friday (September 15).
An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midland Air Ambulance from Strensham all attended the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Upon arrival we found a man who was the motorcyclist. He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries.
"He received advanced trauma care at the scene and was conveyed to Queen Elzabeth Hospital in Birmingham by air ambulance for further treatment.”
Shropshire Fire Service sent one fire engine from Bishop's Castle. Crews assisted the man with emergency care using a trauma bag, while an environmental pack was also used.
West Mercia Police confirmed that no arrests have been made.
