BAFTA-WINNING Henry Normal and the comedy actor Nigel Planer are taking to the stage in Ludlow for a live show.
Performing at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms on November 3, the duo's show covers love, life and family, and is as moving as it is funny. It is one of 13 shows in the autumn tour across the UK.
Normal and Planer toured together in the early '90s, and the two are known for complementing each other's comedy and spoken word poetry style.
Normal's career spans over 40 years and includes writing and producing TV programmes and films. His upcoming shows showcase a wide variety of new material from his latest poetry collections, and he will also soon be returning to BBC Radio 4 with a brand new radio show entitled A Normal Journey. His distinctive style finds fun and poignancy in modern life.
Planer is best known for his role as Neil in the 1980s BBC comedy the Young Ones and as Ralph in Filthy Rich and Catflap. His poetry has been published in the Guardian and in numerous anthologies. He has also written his own collection.
