A MAN from Ludlow flew from the skies in memory of his grandfather.
Harry Parsonage, who went to Ludlow CE School, took part in a skydive on Saturday (September 23) to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
"On April 3, 2023, my grandad sadly lost his battle to Alzheimer’s after bravely fighting for the last eight years," said Mr Parsonage, who is 21.
"Until the very end, he never gave up and continued every day with a smile on his face. One of my biggest wishes in life is to take on a skydive, therefore in memory of my Grandad I took part in a skydive to raise money for Alzheimer’s.
“What an experience that was. I would 100 per cent recommend to anyone, the buzz afterwards was incredible."
Mr Parsonage has so far raised more than £5,000.
"I am attempting to increase this amount even further this week," he said.
"I have been in contact with the Manchester United foundation team who have approved a pennant signed by members of the United team to be sent to me.
"This will go to the highest bidder by the end of the week, with that amount being added to my fundraiser."
