A SLOWER speed limit is being introduced at the edge of a village near Ludlow.
The 30 miles per hour section of Kings Road leaving Orleton, near the Herefordshire border with Shropshire, is being extended northwards.
A consultation was undertaken last summer in connection with a new residential development to the west of Kings Road, Orleton, with no objections made to the plans to extend the village’s 30mph zone north of the village primary school.
In this case, the roughly £15,000 cost is being met by the new estate’s developer as part of a deal with the council.
The officer decision was made in late July but has only just been published on the Herefordshire Council website.
