LIB Dems in South Shropshire met their new parliamentary hopeful ahead of the retirement of long-standing Ludlow MP Phillip Dunne.
South Shropshire Lib Dems, councillors and supporters got together at a garden party in All Stretton on October 7 to meet the new parliamentary candidate for the Ludlow constituency.
Chris Naylor, from All Stretton, is hoping to win the seat, which will be going up for grabs next year after Mr Dunne's decision to quit at the end of this parliamentary term.
Among the guests enjoying the late summer sun, speeches, tea and cake was Lib Dem MP Helen Morgan, who took the North Shropshire seat with a majority of almost 6,000 in a by-election in 2021.
Other well-known Ludlow Lib Dems present were councillors Viv Parry, Andy Boddington, Tracey and John Huffer, and Heather Kidd from Chirbury.
Mr Naylor, who has a degree in economics and was a founder member of London's Almeida Theatre, was keen to stress his commitment to rural affairs and farming.
He also wants to develop a policy of providing more houses for young people in the area.
