MOTORISTS have been battling the wet weather today (Friday) - with heavy rain causing treacherous conditions on many of the county's roads.
The Met Office has a yellow weather warning for rain in place for Shropshire today and tomorrow (Saturday), with the Environment Agency issuing number of flood warnings.
These include the Brimfield Brook at Orleton and Brimfield, the Ledwyche Brook and river Rea, and the lower and upper Teme.
The A49 around Ludlow has been particularly bad, especially on the bypass. Lew Newman shared a picture of one motorist whose vehicle was stranded in Fishmore.
Jacob Cadet also recorded footage of flooded water on the Ludlow to Bridgnorth road, at Middleton.
On the trains, there is disruption between Shrewsbury and Hereford/Wolverhampton.
Transport for Wales have advised customers not to travel on journeys north of Hereford.
There are rail replacement busies between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury though.
Meanwhile, the A456 is closed both ways at Newnham Bridge, near Tenbury.
There is reported queuing traffic due to flooding between the Bickley turn off and the Eastham turn off. Affecting traffic between Burford and Clows Top.
Hands Together Ludlow, who provide short-term assistance to vulnerable people, will be opening its building this afternoon and evening (Friday) for anyone who is stuck or flooded out of their house.,
