A LOCAL brewery has won multiple Great British Food Awards.
Three Tuns Brewery of Bishop's Castle won gold beer and lager awards for their stout and XXX real ale, as well as a bronze award for their clerics cure pale ale.
The beverages were judged by Jacob Liddle, a respected brewer from London.
A spokesperson for Three Tuns Brewery said: “We're over the moon to share we've been awarded gold for two of our real ales in the Great British Food Awards 2023.
“Both our legendary XXX and old-fashioned Stout have received the award and we couldn't be prouder to have two of our most celebrated ales recognised amongst Britain's finest artisanal produce.”
Three Tuns operates out of a 17th-century brewery. The business says it prides itself on its adherence to tradition, prioritising creating ales using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients. They use a unique strain of yeast which has been developed over the last 125 years, giving their beers a distinct feel.
