A TENBURY Wells man has walked around the entire coast of Great Britain.
James Lloyd set off from Caernarfon, North Wales, on October 3, 2022, and walked anti-clockwise in a continuous journey, He finished the expedition on October 22, 2023 - just over a year later.
In total, the 29-year-old walked 6,592 miles, which included the additional fundraiser of climbing the national three peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
Mr Lloyd also walked over 54 miles for 24 hours on the summer solstice.
He decided to raise money for Mind after struggling with his own mental health.
"I had struggled with depression and anxiety which led to suicidal thoughts," he said.
"It was terrifying. The charity Mind helped in my recovery to mental wellness and I wanted to give back."
While on the south coast, Mr Lloyd prevented a suicidal woman from taking her own life.
He said: "I told her I knew how she felt, and that was enough to bring her to safety.
"I didn’t know what to do from there, but luckily a crisis team and the police took over.
"It really brought home the importance of raising money for a charity preventing people from reaching crisis."
Since setting out, Mr Lloyd has raised nearly £21,000 for Mind, which aims to tackle mental health through education and awareness.

He said: "My original target was £10,000. Once I reached that I kept bumping up the target.
"I wanted to do as much as I could for them."
To finish the adventure, Mr Lloyd will be donating his hair to Herefordshire-based Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who have lost their hair in cancer treatment.
"I just want to do as much as I can help people with what I have," he said.
