A SPEEDER caught out breaking the limit in an Volkswagen on a busy main road has been banned from the roads.
David Finnegan entered a guilty plea to one count of exceeding a 30 miles per hour speed limit when he appeared before magistrates in Telford in November.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 60-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A4117 Cleobury Road at Far Forest in Worcestershire on June 17.
Finnegan, of Paddockside, Middleton, Ludlow, was fined £266 and disqualified from driving for six months for the offence, with magistrates saying that they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision on the sentence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £106 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
