A TENBURY main road is due to be closed from next month.
The section of the A4112 that runs from the Teme Street junction through to the county border will be closed for resurfacing from January 8 through to January 19 between the hours of 9.30 am and 4 pm, with no work over the weekend.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Highways said that signs will be placed on the road before the work begins, and that the resurfacing will be carried out as quickly as possible. Two diversion routes will be set up, allowing for the A road classification to be maintained.
The spokesperson added that staff will be on-site to help locals access their homes or businesses but that anyone attempting to pass through may have to wait for the site to be made safe or redirected to another entry point. They also requested that vehicles should not be parked on the road whilst works are ongoing.
Any queries regarding the resurfacing should be directed to Shropshire Council’s Customer Services Centre at 03456789006.
