A NEW chain shop is set to open its doors in Ludlow.
A Savers outlet will be making its home at 10 Castle Street, the former premises of M and Co which closed in 2022.
Renovation on the shopfront has already begun, with white paint replacing its previous grey appearance. Decals have been put in the windows declaring that the store will be opening soon.
Locals have taken to social media to express their feelings about the shop, with many pleased that they will no longer have to travel to Leominster or Hereford to visit a Savers outlet.
Sue Farmer said: “That will help bring trade in.
“Now let's hope the old Costa shop gets refurbished and the Barclays gets a usage.”
Sheena Wieckowicz chimed in, she said: “I'm pleased to see premises being utilised again.
“It will encourage other businesses into the area. Not so keen on this shop, but better that than nothing.”
Savers has over 500 shops in the UK offering a wide range of health, home and beauty products.
