AN ARTICLE praising Ludlow has caused a stir among locals.
Online news platform My London published an article entitled ‘Historic market town less than 3 hours from London that's only busy one week a year’ earlier this month, commending Ludlow for its eateries, independent and rich eateries, but not everyone is happy about how it portrays the town.
The author, Anna Willis, wrote that while people from across the world flock to the town for the annual food festival, Ludlow is otherwise incredibly quiet, causing some locals to take offence and even demand that the article should be removed.
Many have taken to social media to express their disagreement, with Dave Poynton saying: “The writer has obviously only been here once as that is an uninformed comment.”
David Etherbridge, chiming in, by saying: “Judging from the article, the writer simply spent 20 minutes on Google instead of actually coming to the town.”
Not everyone was so outraged, however, and were instead pleased with the appreciative nature of the article.
“I can't see anything wrong with the article, it's very complimentary,” said Becki Griffiths.
