AN INDEPENDENT Shropshire brewery has announced the winners of its festive golden ticket competition, after offering recipients of its festive advent calendar the chance to win a year’s supply of beer.
Hobsons Brewery, based in Cleobury Mortimer, has named Ross Edwards from Telford and Edward Shaw from Kings Lynn, Norfolk, as the lucky finders of a golden ticket, who will now receive a case of beer of their choice every month in 2024.
The golden tickets were randomly placed by the brewery team in two advent calendars just before shipping.
West Bromwich Albion fan Mr Edwards, 44, is a true beer enthusiast and proud member of the Campaign for Real Ale, who has been drinking Hobsons beer for more than 20 years at some of his favourite local pubs.
Mr Shaw, who is 31, has been a lover of traditional ales since a young age, sparked by a trip to a famous brewery in Dublin, and is also a proud member of CAMRA.
Brewery founder Nick Davis said the business was so pleased with how the competition turned out and that he looks forward to sharing some great beer with both winners through the year.
