A MUCH-loved attraction near Ludlow has reached a major milestone as it is registered as a charity.
Acton Scott Heritage Farm has had its registration as a new charity approved by the Charity Commission, a spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the news paves the way for the farm, which is currently closed, to open later in 2024 and to once again welcome visitors of all ages to witness its rich agricultural history and portrayal of traditional rural crafts.
The charity is promising living history demonstrations with working horses and traditional livestock breeds alongside education programmes to help foster a deeper understanding of historical agricultural practice and its relevance to today.
The spokesperson said the trustees are also committed to the ongoing conservation and restoration of the site, ensuring that Listed Buildings and historic farm machinery are preserved for future generations.
An opening date is yet to be announced, but anyone interested in volunteering to get the site ready is asked to apply at https://form.jotform.com/231242077301039
