BISHOP'S Castle Arts Festival gets underway today (Wednesday) where venues throughout the town will open their doors.
Taking place until Sunday (February 18), there will be dance, music, poetry, craft, artisan wares, singing, talks, exhibitions, workshops, photography, films, story-telling and concerts, as well as an array of food and drink available.
Running throughout the week will be a miniature art machine, selling tiny pieces of art for £1, as well as a Great British Bake Off where you can two classes for bakers aged 16 and above, as well as a special class for the youngsters,
To entertain the children, there will also be a special trail with a variety of cats hiding in some of the shop windows. A trail sheet can be collected from the Town Hall.
Meanwhile, Bishop's Castle Heritage Resource Centre will be displaying selected items from the House on Crutches Museum reserve collection, which includes a wedding dress in the Workhouse for a fellow resident.
