A May Fair milestone is being commemorated this year by Ludlow Museum, and they'd like local residents to add their memories.
Ludlow May Fair has been an major date on the Ludlow calendar, and this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Wynn family taking over the annual celebrations.
To commemorate this milestone, Ludlow Museum is curating a special exhibition that will showcase the May Fair’s history. Residents and visitors are invited to share their memories, photographs and stories to contribute to the display via email to customer.services@ludlow.gov.uk. The museum welcomes a range of materials, including photographs, written accounts and videos that capture the essence of Ludlow May Fair.
“Ludlow May Fair holds fond memories for many residents, and we are eager to create a collection that represents its rich history”, said a council spokesperson.
Ludlow Museum is also keen to hear from the community with information, photographs and stories about the Walters Trouser Factor for an exhibit which will run until April, followed by the May Fair exhibition.
