MORE rain is set to hit Ludlow and Tenbury Wells over the next week, with unsettled weather here to stay and thunderstorms on the horizon.
The wet weather is forecast to continue through the end of this week, with bands of showers, often heavy and perhaps with the odd thunderstorm, arriving on Thursday morning (February 22).
Gusty winds and much lower temperatures than of late are also forecast on Thursday, according to the Met Office.
Friday to Sunday will remain rather unsettled, with bright intervals punctuated by scattered showers, some heavy and with a chance of thunder and overnight frosts.
Conditions do not look to be likely to get much better through the end of the month and into the start of March, with the Met Office forecasting more rain at the start of the week.
A generally unsettled pattern is most likely to continue through to early March, forecasters said, bringing spells of rain across all areas at times, wettest in the west and northwest, where it'll be windy too at times. Temperatures are generally around average though some short-lived colder interludes are possible.
