A LUDLOW driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught out over the limit.
Phillip Jordan entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the drug limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford this month.
The court heard from prosecutor Owen Beale that the 31-year-old had been caught out in a street in Ludlow, Shropshire, after getting behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on October 21.
An evidential blood test revealed that he had 6.5 micrograms (mg) of controlled class B drug cannabis product delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood.
The limit is two mg.
Jordan of Lower Broad Street was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 12 months, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £48 victim surcharge.
He must pay the costs in full by March 20.
