LAST week, flood alerts and warnings were issued in the areas around Ludlow as rain fell on saturated ground.
A flood warning was issued at Stanford Bridge, near Tenbury, for the river Teme.
There was also a flood warning in place for the Brimfield Brook, with levels rising at the Orleton Millbrook Way river gauge.
There were also warnings and alerts in Herefordshire, including for the Wye, Lugg, Arrow, Frome and the Leadon catchment.
The Environment Agency warned that, as river levels rose, some footpaths and driving routes may have been flooded.
The agency advised people to move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
The warnings and alerts, which have since been removed, covered much of north Herefordshire and the Tenbury area. These affected properties and roads in these areas, with people being urged to come up with flooding plans and be prepared with emergency kits just in case.
The Environment Agency said it was working with the local authorities throughout the period of flooding.
Although Ludlow also experienced rain, there was not a flood warning or alert for the town itself.
