Residents of Craven Arms once again protested to show their support about the current situation in Gaza, this took place in Craven Arms on Saturday, February 24.
"We are horrified by the murder of innocent Palestinian civilians and call for a halt to the siege of Rafah," said organisers.
Protestors came from CADFA (Camda Abu Dis Friendship Association) with members of both the Muslim and non-Muslim community in Craven Arms.
Rayan Baig, a young student, said: "We are here to support our fellow humans", while Imam Sohayb said "We will never achieve peace by collective punishment."
On March 7, there will be a talk in Shrewsbury, hosted by Shropshire Friends of Palestine. Rowena Francis spent three months in the West Bank as a volunteer with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel. She will talk about daily life under the occupation, the impact of checkpoints, ID cards and permits, and was what can be done to promote a just peace.
