The former Budgens (and before that, Co-op) building in the heart of Ludlow is on the market for an undisclosed sum.
The property fronts Upper Galdeford, and its neighbours include a mix of national and local traders including Lloyds Pharmacy and Coral Bookmakers.
There is a public pay and display car park to the rear of the property.
The building, which was constructed in the 1980s, provides retail accommodation, staff toilets, offices and kitchen and storage across 14,000 square feet on the ground floor, and almost 8,000 sq ft on the first floor.
The building has been unoccupied since Budgens closed its doors in 2018. In 2022 planning permission was granted for 19 apartments and two retail units, but rising construction costs post-pandemic saw the collapse of the planned project.
A mural funded by Robin Morris of Morris Properties, and expected to brighten the area for a year, has now been in place for more than four years.
The property is on the market with Mason Partners.
